Hello and welcome to HealthyHouseplants.com, where we teach you all about gardening in the great indoors. If you’d like to support our show, please use our Amazon affiliate link below. Today, I’m going to share with you a very cool plant. This is a piece of Spathiphyllum, but as you can see, it has some really unique variegated white and green leaves and the typical spath flowers that regular peace lilies have.
This variegated variety is called Domino. You can see lots of white variegation in the leaves, making it a very stunning plant. Peace lilies are already really nice plants, and here’s a standard one. I love the leaves on the peace lily! The variegated one doesn’t have as shiny leaves as the regular standard, but it’s still very eye-catching, and they both have striking white flowers.
I really like the Domino because it’s so unique, and it looks good even when it isn’t flowering. When it is flowering, it’s even more eye-catching because of the variegated white and green foliage combined with the white spath flowers. This variety has become more common and easier to find than it used to be, so grab one if you can!
Peace lilies are long-lived plants that can live for many years if you take good care of them. I do have a video on their care. Care for this one is pretty much the same as for the regular standard peace lily. However, there is a little bit of a difference, and that difference has to do with the variegation itself.
This plant needs a little more light than the average peace lily because the variegation means less chlorophyll, which means the plant absorbs less light. So it’s going to need a little more light. Whereas I’ll often say medium-low light for standard peace lilies, I would recommend a good solid medium light for the Domino and any other variegated peace lilies you may come across.
So that’s it for today’s look at this unique, eye-catching plant, which would make a wonderful addition to any houseplant collection. Thank you for stopping by today! Frequently Asked Questions about Domino Peace Lily Care
What is a Domino Peace Lily?
The Domino Peace Lily is a variety of Spathiphyllum known for its unique white and green variegated leaves. It has similar white spath flowers to those of regular peace lilies but stands out due to its stunning variegation.
How is the Domino Peace Lily different from a standard peace lily?
The main difference is the variegated foliage, which features striking white and green patterns. The Domino Peace Lily has less shiny leaves compared to the standard peace lily but is equally eye-catching, especially when in bloom.
Does the Domino Peace Lily require special care?
The Domino Peace Lily generally requires the same care as standard peace lilies. However, due to the variegation, it needs a bit more light to compensate for the reduced chlorophyll in its leaves.

Unlike standard peace lilies, which can tolerate medium-low light, the Domino Peace Lily needs a solid medium light level to thrive. This helps it maintain its health despite having less chlorophyll than non-variegated varieties.
How long can a Domino Peace Lily live?
