Make Your Own Hypertufa Containers
You may have heard of hypertufa pots for the outdoors. It turns out that houseplants thrive in these rustic-looking containers, which are easy to make yourself and can be fashioned into just about any shape you desire. Developed in the 1930s to replicate the stone troughs popular among English gardeners in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, lightweight hypertufa are porous and ideal for houseplants, which generally require excellent drainage.
