Today, I’m going to talk to you about decorating with houseplants. One of my favorite things to do is decorate with houseplants because they are so pretty to begin with. When you compare them with various elements in your house, such as furniture, the pots they’re in, art on your walls, wallpaper, and other decorative elements, it really makes the houseplants look even prettier. It enhances the overall beauty of your home, and it’s fun to watch as the plants grow and change. Unlike a painting, which remains static unless you decide to change it, houseplants bring a dynamic element to your decor.

I’m going to show you some various ways to decorate with houseplants, including pairing colors and plant ideas. Here we have a nice pot that is great for African violets, which is one of my favorites. This pot has wallpaper applied to it, allowing you to easily change the look based on your decor. For example, you can switch out the wallpaper or choose different African violets to match your decor.

Another important consideration is the pot choice. For instance, I have my Arrowhead vine in a lovely blue pot, and I added a little craft item made by one of my kids to make it even more eye-catching.

You can also use decorative trays or small containers for displaying plants. For example, I have a little teacup that often holds blooming African violets. Using decorative elements helps create a visually pleasing arrangement on tables or shelves.

When it comes to colors, you can choose paint that complements your plants or vice versa. For instance, if you have an African maidenhair fern, consider bringing a paint swatch to the nursery to see which greens match best. You can experiment with different colors to create a cohesive look throughout your space.

Another great tip is to consider how plants are used in staged homes for sale. You’ll often see houseplants near artwork and other decorative elements, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

When decorating with plants, think about the size and shape of the leaves, as well. Smaller, feathery leaves can look great with bolder patterns, while larger leaves can stand out against simpler designs.

As you decorate with houseplants, remember they not only beautify your home but also improve air quality and contribute to your happiness.

In summary, have fun mixing and matching your plants with various decor elements to create a unique and inviting space in your home!
