Today, I’m excited to share with you three beautiful plants from Newman Orange North America’s new line, “Welcome to the Jungle.” I received these plants in exchange for growing them, observing how they adapt indoors, and sharing my experiences with you. I’ve had them for about 10 days now, so they’ve had a chance to acclimate to my home, and they are all doing quite well.
The first plant is a combo planter that I find really appealing. It did experience a bit of damage during transport, with some of the tips coming off. The good news is that I’ll be doing a propagation video soon, specifically for succulents, which is perfect for this situation. I plan to prune some of these down a bit more, but they will grow in beautifully.
The combo includes:
Crassula tenelli bling – This succulent features silvery, shimmery leaves that are easy to care for. It thrives in a bright area and doesn’t require much water indoors; a light spray or minimal watering is sufficient. It’s a stunning plant that, if treated right, grows well.
Delosperma echinatum gherkin – Also known as the pickle plant, this succulent has foliage that resembles little pickles. Although it might look spiny up close, it’s actually quite soft. This plant will also produce white to yellow flowers, adding a lovely touch to your indoor garden.
The next plant is the Epiphyllum anguliger, also known by several names including fishbone cactus, moon cactus, zigzag cactus, queen of the night, and rickrack orchid cactus. It’s a beautiful plant with an arching habit, perfect for hanging baskets. Mature plants bloom with fragrant white to pale yellow flowers, often at night. It’s a real beauty, native to Mexico, and will be a great addition to any indoor space.
Finally, we have the Tradescantia nanouk, a variety of Tradescantia with thick leaves and vibrant striations in pink, white, and green. Despite their delicate appearance, these plants are quite hardy and will trail as they grow. I’ll keep an eye on this plant and share updates on its care.
